Surreal and amazing. Inspired by the Chelsea High Line, the idea creates a green public space in an old forgotten trolley Terminal, adjacent to the JMZ.  As New Yorkers, we are oblivious to the grime on our daily commutes, it is usually the random tourist that reminds us of the rats and filth. Creating a destination space like this, not only gives a much needed greenery and serenity, a clean underground, but it also will helps all the surrounding businesses, all the little guys.

Our new Spring colors are in store now! I am having such a hard time deciding which color I like more, the sapphire, mustard, or nude. I chose the mustard completely intuitively, I second guessed myself, but it seems people are loving it! Especially off setting all black. oh, and did I mention, the leather is super soft and light.

We are once again excited to participate in the ID popshop's Chelsea location, with all of our long time design friends.  The ID pop shop gives an opportunity to designers to have outlet space in an otherwise expensive shopping destination.  As for the shopping, ID pop shop has some of the best local designers, who truly create their pieces. Of course, it is always a pleasure to find products that you can feel good about purchasing, and discovering local products that have a one-of-a-kind feel. Plus most of the designers are there selling their own wares, it is always more fun to purchase directly from the maker! Hope to see you there.

Having a store is every designer's dream. There is a point when you need a place of your own, a home. When the opportunity presented itself, I took it. Should I have waited for a better time, a better plan? It is a labor of love, but it is also damn hard. 

When Cristina and Reiner joined the store at the beginning of the year, I had no idea how amazing it would be. Cristina asked me which days, she should work, 3 out of 7?! And while I was away for two weeks, she worked at the store everyday?! They have introduced their clients to our bags and vice versa. We strategize how to let everyone know, we exist down here on the LES?! Wow, it is exactly what I was wanting, to have other designers care as much as I do about this little gem of a store.  

As for their precious sparkly stones encased in gold, we're girls, of course we love it! I have been coveting the sapphire in rose gold. The pictures are great, but trust me, these pretties are begging to be seen in person. What I love most about their jewelry, is that you can truly tell each piece is handcrafted. And don't worry, there is something for everyone. 

Cristina is also bringing in her new fashion line comprised of skulls, hearts, and butterflies. I wonder what she will end up naming this collection, I know the idea of "death do us part" has already been thrown into the mix.

Happy Valentine's Day! 

"I am love" was hands down one of my favorite recent movies- the slow quiet pace with stunning imagery, and subtle but strong emotion.  Tilda Swinton's  short film here "Here" starring Agyness Deyn has exactly that, with Hitchcock references:  the green ensemble from "The Birds" as well as Kim Novak's hairstyle within "Vertigo." It is somehow quietly riveting.  

I wonder what else Tilda is going to come up with in the far northeastern part of Scotland without television? But does she ever cheat and download movies/shows on the internet?  hmm. I wonder.
